In general, centrifugal pumps are one of the most common categories of equipment in the industry. The liquid on the way to the pumping equipment collides with the moving wheel. Under the action of a mechanical impulse, it moves inside the discharge pipe. At this point, centrifugal force occurs. Under its influence, the fluid flow goes inside a special cavity, which is called a spiral casing. The amount of mechanical force is determined by three key points - how dense the fluid is, how fast the wheel is spinning, and how large its cross section is.
An excess pressure is necessarily created inside the pump. It is only thanks to him that gravity is overcome when the flow rises and the force of friction against the pipeline wall. When the flow moves inside the spiral part, it will move more and more slowly. The reason is simple - in this case, the passage becomes larger. The difference between specific models may relate to the type of bearing, housing placement, motor fixation, number of steps. A protruding wedge is located at the junction of the spiral casing with the discharge pipe. This water cutter is designed to ensure that the liquid leaves the pump, if it weren’t there, it would simply push in a circle without end.
As for the stages, in most cases the pumps have a single impeller and a single casing. However, the addition of additional components, although complicating the design, can significantly increase the achieved pressure. When one wheel has transferred some energy to the liquid, it moves on to a new wheel, which provides a new impulse, and so on until the final discharge into the pressure pipe.
Slurry pumps of this brand, just like conventional ones, deserve attention in the first place. They have been used the same way for many decades. The products presented in the line allow you to pump drilling fluids, clogged water, and the same sludge. Since the liquids being transported contain many complex and aggressive substances, cast iron and non-ferrous metal castings are used for the manufacture of equipment. They perfectly resist the effects of an aggressive external environment. Sludge products of this brand belong to 118, 178 and 250 series. In the first of these groups, there are models with shafts of 1 1/8, 1 7/8 and 2 ½ inches.
MCM slurry products, like conventional pumps, are the undisputed leaders in this field. In addition to perfectly selected materials, their advantages are associated with an exceptionally perfect assembly. Carefully thought out to the smallest detail design - that's another advantage. Casings and impellers are necessarily strengthened where wear is especially strong.
Increased interchangeability of components is also very important. But please note that an important rule of normal use is to follow the instructions. So, according to them, the suction of sludge can occur at speeds of a maximum of 3 meters per second. Another important requirement is to maintain the optimum allowable height of the liquid column in the inlet section of the pump. Violation of this moment threatens the formation of air bubbles. They can shorten the life of the equipment and cause early breakdowns. Additionally, allowable operating limits should be taken into account and not deviated from them even in the most stressful moments. No amount of production optimization can justify deviating from them.
Let's say the suction line has a section of 6 inches. In such a situation, a maximum of 3407 liters of liquid can be pumped per minute. With an eight-inch regular input, the permissible minute revolution reaches 6057 liters. Only ten-inch lines allow you to exceed this parameter. The next significant aspect is NPSH. This indicator stands for the height of the liquid column located under the inlet pipe. Almost all units cannot distill more than 5300 liters per minute, even at an 8-inch inlet. Inadequate NPSH levels lead to cavitation. As has been noted many times, the pump quickly degrades. Most of all, this problem is typical for drilling mixing equipment.
Therefore, it is recommended, perhaps, to change nozzles more often to compensate for the loss of their basic qualities. Using a 6x5 pump where an 8x6 class installation is required is a completely waste of money. The incorrectness of the NPSH definition is precisely related to the neglect of nozzle wear.
It should be noted that centrifugal pumps, positioned as equipment for oil production, can also be used in oil product pipelines. They are often ordered to equip oil refineries. Of course, in this case, it is critically important that the products correspond to the climatic situation in a particular area (the so-called climatic version). A hydraulic part of increased power is provided. Attention: a reliable anti-corrosion protection of the housing is required. Not all models are also suitable for pumping liquefied gases, and this point must be specifically specified when placing an order. With the right choice, the prospects for using pumping equipment at oil depots are practically unlimited.
Designers take into account that the handling of oil and oil products is often accompanied by the appearance of explosive vapors (mixtures of hydrocarbons with air). Therefore, almost all models are necessarily explosion-proof. Important: the calculated allowable proportion of foreign particles in the pumped mass cannot be more than 0.2%. It is recommended to pay attention to the conditional case pressure - this is the highest level of internal pressure that a particular model can withstand during normal operation. Otherwise, centrifugal oil pumps differ little from the "water" technology operating on the same principle.

Retrofit gate valves are available to fit mud pump flowlines. These are four inch units rated for 7500 lb. working head. Butterfly valves can replace DEMCO CB-C damper products or, on the contrary, be replaced by them. There are two private options: wafer and tidal format. There are also safety valves with a controlled set point.
Valves can be used for a variety of purposes. Some models are more suitable for starting and stopping fluid movement. Others allow you to change the direction of the liquid flow, others are better at adjusting the volume of flow and retaining debris. The choice of a specific option, their combination and placement on the pipeline should be agreed with experienced engineers.
The vibrating screen can be used not only in the oil industry, but also in other types of mining activities, in the processing industry. In most cases, however, it is used to remove various cuttings from cuttings. Most technologies involve the use of vibrating screens in the initial phase of processing. Only after them does it make sense to feed the solution further to the sludge separators or hydrocyclones. But in a number of situations, you can get by with the vibrating sieve itself, without using other cleaning devices. It is quite efficient and productive in technical terms.
The number of installed vibration devices is determined not only by the volume of the drilling rig. It is also influenced by the quality of the pump itself and the characteristics of individual shakers. The more perfect the pump and the sieves themselves, the usually better. An important role here is played by the dimensions and types of mounted grids. Experts advise taking into account not only the total area of the vibrating screen, but also its overflow height. The strength of the oscillations performed also plays an important role.
Everything works quite simply. Once the drilling fluid enters the feed tank, its velocity is reduced. Next, the liquid is transferred to a mesh mounted on a sieve. A special frame begins to move, which causes it to vibrate. Following this, the vibrations from the support propagate, of course, to the solution. Under their influence, it is thrown out through the grid node. But the largest solid particles are too inert — and remain on the grid. The vibrations cause this sludge to move into the tip of the sieve. Once selected, the cuttings are transferred through carefully designed augers. The solution after this is completely pure. It comes in a special container. It is called the cleaning block tank. Further, a number of auxiliary overflows are carried out,
Vibrating screens are divided according to the performance of the installed grids. These nets are of frame or tension type. But the second format is increasingly falling into disuse. The reason is extremely simple — the first version of the grids can be adjusted. Tension components can only be adjusted initially at the factory. An important classification of vibrating screens concerns the number of cleaning levels. In most cases, industry and extractive industries use two-tier and three-tier components. The choice of a particular option is determined by how the product will be used. It is also worth noting that the type of oscillations for different models of vibrating screens can vary greatly. They are linear, elliptical and circular. In the latter case, the division into unbalanced, balanced and progressive formats is also practiced.
The excitation of vibrational oscillations is achieved by using the eccentric assembly. It is rigidly mechanically connected to the moving box. Usually, oscillatory movements normally occur at an angle of 3 to 6 degrees to the plane of the vibrating apparatus. In the place where the loading of the processed substance occurs, the vibrations propagate in a circle, which maximizes the uniformity of their impact throughout the volume. Since the structural product is relatively simple, the developers were able to significantly reduce the metal consumption — and now it is clearly lower than when the company started its journey. In some cases, a vibrating screen is suitable for weighting the drilling fluid. In Russian practice, models with single-tier and two-tier panels dominate. In order to better sift the sludge, specially thought-out and well-developed techniques are used. For example, the angle at which the surface mesh is inclined is lowered. You can still reduce the amplitude of oscillations, lower the intensity of the flow, add several grids at once instead of one grid element. But it is recommended, again, when ordering, to clarify all such nuances with MCM engineers. Sometimes it is absolutely impossible to do without their instructions, and even a decrease in work efficiency instead of an increase is likely. Throughput is determined by the total surface area and cell size.
Equipment such as a hydrocyclone is designed to clean the drilling fluid. By default, it gets a lot of small inclusions from the drilled rock. These units can be used both as an integral part of complex cleaning systems, and separately — if they drill wells for water and are engaged in geological exploration by drilling.
Ensuring the purity of drilling mixtures ensures that their density and viscosity correspond to the specified parameters. Therefore, the life of the equipment increases significantly. This applies not only to pumps, but also to bits, various swivels, hoses. At the same time, the productivity of drilling operations increases. This is understandable — the purer the solution, the more rock it can endure. The number of hydrocyclones is determined according to the amount of liquid to be cleaned and put in order.
Basically, installation is carried out in a parallel way using a special manifold. Through it, a drilling mixture containing cuttings is pumped into the hydrocyclone equipment. From there, the purified liquid is poured out. The accumulation of isolated mineral particles occurs in the sand trap. It is located below all installed hydrocyclones and is mounted on a frame made of durable metal.
The company’s line includes hydrocyclone equipment with a size of 4, 5, 10, 12 inches. These products include fluid separators, clamping bands, bottom cones, fluid drain inserts, adjustment systems, process gaskets, bonding components and specialized gauges, and top bushings (not all models). It must be understood that, depending on the specific modification, the composition may differ quite significantly.
Hydrocyclone is produced by centrifugal force. And it arises, in turn, due to the pumping of liquid through pipes having a tangential entry point. Centrifugal force contributes to the separation from the flow of particles with certain dimensions and density. They are discharged downward, first into the conical segment of the hydrocyclone, and then into a special accumulating bunker.
It has been established that the rate of cleaning in cyclone apparatuses is orders of magnitude higher than the rate of removal from foreign inclusions in settling tanks. This fully compensates for even the need for energy costs. Complex, complex hydrocyclone systems can be assembled without difficulty. They are allowed to be used for enrichment and separation of ores. It is also possible to involve them in the process of sludge dehydration.

Please note that some models are recommended for use only at relatively low pressure. At medium pressure, some of the modifications are suitable for water, motor fuel, gas, technical oils. Some versions are supplemented with adapters that increase the overall tightness and guarantee the longest possible life of the equipment. Thanks to a well-thought-out design, cups and cones may not even have a slight gap that would contribute to squeezing the liquid out.
There are modifications with an elastomeric sealing contour. It allows you to effectively protect metal connections. The design in such cases is thought out in such a way as to reduce the possible impact of turbulence. This model — Red Nut — is suitable mainly for grouting. Cracks are successfully prevented and those that fail to close will be visually identified. The Blue Nut model also finds application in technical tests.
Quick coupling (in other words, burst coupling) is abbreviated as BRS. It provides, according to the name, accelerated docking of hydraulic units among themselves; it is also possible to connect these assemblies to high pressure hoses. In addition to the actual oil industry and gas production, quick couplings are also needed in road construction, and in the chemical industry, and in a number of other industries. Their use has the important advantage that no specialized skills are required, and all work can be entrusted even to unskilled performers. There is no need to use complex tools.

Compliance with this standard guarantees the use of couplings in the agricultural and construction industries, in various mobile equipment, in the field of shipbuilding, in industrial machines, in testing equipment. At the same time, a stable working pressure up to 350 bar is maintained.

The execution of such a pump is quite simple. It consists of the actual pumping unit, power plant, coupling, frame and base. The frame is connected to the base of the pump, and the drive is mounted on top of it. The shaft connected to the engine is passed through the mount. The default coupling is mounted between the motor shaft and the pump shaft. When docking them together, an adapter and a rubber elastic block are used. Fixing on a frame and the basis of 3 arms is provided. While they are all rigidly attached, three of the brackets can be removed.
Dismantling of the pump for subsequent repair or replacement is carried out by separating the retractable bracket. Only then the pump is disconnected from the base. Its rise is made along the free segment of the frame. Important: the motors are mounted absolutely independently of the pumps. They can be removed in the same way independently. The designers took care of this in advance. To solve this problem, we provided for the autonomy of the fasteners on the coupling.
Vertical centrifugal pumps of this brand can be in demand by agricultural organizations, utilities (both for water supply and for wastewater treatment). Often they are used in the disposal of household waste. Of course, their capabilities are quite sufficient for working on drilling platforms as part of pumping units. To complete the systems, motors with a capacity of 20 to 150 horsepower can be used.

The basic design provides for the connection of a T-shaped or elbow connector of the suction line. The length of the mounting surface is small, only 712×712 millimeters.
